Mood: Busy *sigh*
Listening to: CHECK EM OUT!

Guys, I'd like you to check out those artists I've been featuring in my journal header for...meh,for quite a while now. This is going to be a REALLY long journal entry. my longest evereverevereverever and ever. so please grab some popcorn or take a pill to sleep till it's over cause it has to be said because I think it's my duty to help those artists out at least a bit.I'll try my best to feature them and describe just WHY I think they are underrated and what's so great about them. Of course there are...probably millions of other even MORE underrated artists..and unseen, undiscovered spectacular talents...
but the few I've yet discovered are featured here. There are MORE TO COME (I hope I'm not breaking promises here again) and I'll update this whenever it's necessary. *fingers crossed* ^^;
Let's get started.

ROUND 4!!

|Total features: 40 (sheet this number keeps growing)

|New: 8

*** RECENT ONES ON TOP***
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
-----------------------------------
..could be the result of a mix between , and .
Her artworks are just as beautiful as theirs - and should be just as popular as well! BUT they aren't! Her simplistic backgrounds work like FRAME - a FOCUS on the displayed character. I love how her lines (no lineart there actually!) get sharper towards the face of the character that defines the mood of the picture and get unclear towards the feet of the character, which almost let's you FEEL the insecurity of the girl while balancing on the rope. I hope by featuring her in this list, it helps a little to make her feel more comfy here on dA (description) Do you enjoy the art of the 3 artists mentioned above? Then I strongly recommend visiting Erilu's Gallery right away, because her art is almost even to theirs in my opinion.
-----------------------------------
has cging skills that are close to photorealistic. Some of his works appear to be photomanips at first sight..but are actually 100% cging. His featured work, "Siren" for example. The amount of detail not only of the siren, but also of the surroundings are impressive and authentic. His concepts are heavenly in my opinion, one of the best I've seen in a while, even though I've seen lots and lots of concepts lately =) Even if you don't want to check every artist's Gallery on my list, make sure to at least check out his Gallery! You'd miss something by skipping him ;P
-----------------------------------
has some absolutely outstanding traditional artwork in his Gallery, with tender colors and beautiful compositions! So many beautiful little swirls and details in his artwork, it's a joy looking at it =) He's mostly drawing flowers and faeries - magical stuff. But enough words, take a look yourself! and I especially love this one here and THIS one I've had similar ideas before,but I couldn't possibly manage to capture em like this. a True storm of colors! Read his descriptions as well, it makes his works even more impressive, cause there's a meaning to them, not only a pretty look. I noticed that you rarely get to see faces in his Gallery that doesn't matter though - it merely makes his artwork more fantastic and mysterious. 2000 pageviews since april 05. TOO LITTLE I SAY. now click his icon already ;P
-----------------------------------
is young but, good lord, talented. HER (not his,sorry for the inconvenience ^^; ) pencil skills are impressive! I wish I could do some neat pencil shading goodness like this! Doesn't even need to be colored, already looks awesome the way it is. It's not that she couldn't color though: Behold! The tones she chose remind me of Shadow of the Colossus. She's got only few works in his Gallery, but none of them have intense colors or anything like that. They all look a tad greyish/serious/sober Worth a look!
-----------------------------------
...has a REALLY yummey icon....and claims to be overrated!!(yeah right).They won't be on this list for long though, cause they've had an account here before and you probably know about them already. ahem, anyways: Their cgings are the stuff dreams are made of, you could say. :D Their works mostly display the pleasant sides of life: The Vivid colors colors they use are almost certain to make you smile =) If you haven't yet, take a look!
-----------------------------------
has a very atmospheric Gallery. Looking at her pictures, you dive into a new world. Her color choices and the clothing of the characters, the architecture, pretty much everything is well done in her pictures to underline the atmosphere and thus create an illusion of a medieval world.. I think art like hers should be more appreciated. So pay her a visit sometime! =)
-----------------------------------
has ACTUALLY been on my watchlist for ages now but I never noticed how few pageviews she's got. The majority of her works are anime styled - and next to nice camera angles and interesting/cute designs she created some quite mysterious pieces of art (look ma, no lineart!)
Take a look at her Gallery, you certainly won't regret it =)
-----------------------------------
I saw her featured in 's journal and she also deserves to be mentioned here. (not that it's much of an honor to be mentioned by me, but she should get a little more attention.) If you love creatures of EPIC SIZE or colors so vivid you can almost hear the picture's heart beat (sky mermaid..wonderful idea) as much as I DO, then you've got to check her Gallery out.
I wouldn't be surprised if one day people wore clothings designed by her :D she certainly IS talented when it comes to designing stuff and coming up with fashionable concepts.
-----------------------------------
should've been on this list before..hmm...'guess I sorta forgot to add her ^^; She's not exactly underrated, but she certainly deserves MORE attention. :nod:
In my opinion, she's good enough to be named in one sentence among the likes of . She drew some neat pics of fairies and princesses, a little disney-ish. :D
Her color choices are brilliant and her pics are just..nice to look at.
So for a relaxing and inspiring fantasy trip, make sure to check out her Gallery.
-----------------------------------
is another multitalented artist~ The way he cgs gives his works a very scrappy/dirty look, which creates a sorta threatening, cold atmosphere, but nevertheless very realistic. He's got very neat pencil linearts very plastic cgings omg lookit those hands~ and he's also able to create authentic environmental art, urban stuff. One piece even reminds me a little of Samurai Champloo... check him out, folks!
-----------------------------------
has a very individual style~ looks pretty much inspired by old chinese/japanese works. Mostly illustrations that look like posters :D some interesting concepts in their Gallery though! and lotsa vector stuff check it out!
-----------------------------------
is a great mech artist. you know, transformers, autobots/decepticons, beast wars etc. His works look professional and his own designs / redesigns are amazing. I love that stuff XP If I were 15 again I'd die ( and KILL ) for toys like that. :giggle:
-----------------------------------
is one of the most underrated artists in this list. a shame! You can literally see the amount of time and focus he spent on his works. 4 days he says! And one can see that! Both linearts and colorations of him are proof of his skills. They look authentic and he's very good at choosing the right colors/lights to create a captivating atmosphere of tension in his works. GIVE HIM YOUR LOVE PEOPLE.
-----------------------------------
just recently got a well deserved DD ^^ She might disappear from this list soon :B anyways, check her out if you haven't yet. Her works are more than fantastic. Being able to express your ideas and dreams with such accuracy and with such an overwhelming conept - a gift. her titles already show how thoroughly she must think about her art. A great artist without a doubt.
-----------------------------------
is very good at expressions! both realistic and cartoonish ones! A wide variety of expressions indeed! notice her attention to detail, especially of the expression? Terrific! XP and kawiiiiii as well :D She's been around for 4 years now! you basically -owe- her more pageviews :B
-----------------------------------
is good at both traditional and digital medias~ And I like her dragonish creatures and her dynamic poses best =) definitely worth a closer look :nod:
-----------------------------------
is fairly new here, but just by looking at one of his works you KNOW why he has to be featured here :D
-----------------------------------
has some extremely bizare works in his Gallery, BUTT (sorry, couldn't resist) the colors he chose are..very interesting. May hurt in the eyes at first, but after a short while, it looks plain awesome.
He also did some..."normal" works too, marvelous colorations.
Check him out or regret it.
-----------------------------------
has some fabulous (literally) artwork in his Gallery that's placed somewhere between greek mythology and cyberspace :nod: You will find interesting interpretations of gods and myths as well as VAST LANDSCAPES and jaw-dropping new age 3D-concepts. You won't regret a journey through his Gallery :nod: OH and he created some spectacular fanart of some animes/games. LOOKIT!
-----------------------------------
-> suggested by is an interesting anime-artist who has fanarts of various animes in his Gallery, the majority of em are of Bleach though. But he's not only a fanartist, but also manages to capture real emotions in his art, like in this piece of his own original character.
-----------------------------------
created some of the most fluffy wuffy adorable anthro art I've seen yet, but it's not TOO cute/kawaii (doomage) like those 12 year old anthro artists who create similar artwork do. Her style reminds me of 's. The way she paints and the colors she chooses gives you an impression of peace and silence - the creamy colors and the "lack" of shading is very appealing to the eye, in my opinion. there are usually no random, bad suited colors in her pics,that makes it very pleasant to look at. But she's also quite good at traditional medias and the whole shading idea. make sure to stop by!
-----------------------------------
could very well be a professional artist working for either Nintendo or Disney. Her featured deviation is without a doubt one of the best WindWaker fanarts I've seen in my time here - fantastic. Also, this piece is a great example to prove that she's a very devoted artist . As I said, she might very well end up working for Disney or Nintendo :D
-----------------------------------
does some really beautiful fanarts of Bleach, Naruto and also some really awesome designs like - be sure to check her out. 4700 pageviews are simply not enough imo. :B
-----------------------------------
's ability to capture gorgeous natural scenes like here and his sense of design and perspective make his artwork worth more than 5500 pageviews since '03. A shame it is.
-----------------------------------
is really good at traditional artwork, as you can see in her featured deviation which is certainly worth 2 looks. I envy her for being able to actually work on a single pic for SO long...
-----------------------------------
does not only create some quite nice 3D artwork, but is also a pretty skilled anthro artist. I find it sad that there are so few 2d pics in her Gallery =( Her fursona's really pretty :nod: .
-----------------------------------
's featured deviation is a REAL eye catcher in my opinion - being able to create such a background deserves a formidable amount of respect :nod: see for yourself! I can't believe he's got only about 2000 pageviews since 2k4. Such talent has to be seen!
-----------------------------------
is t3h spork and that's reason enuff :D just kidding - besides her being a very nice person, she's also a pretty good artist! Her style howls her name at night, you'd recognize it amongst thousands. It can be both detailed and linear and just adorably cute. :D
and be honest, that's some kickass cg'ing there. And due to her special request, I present to you as proof of her MAD CGING SKILLS USING BUT A MOUSE ~
-----------------------------------
does some professional-looking coloring jobs :nod: and also some cunning poses/perspectives! . 1200 pageviews? please, you've got to be kidding me. Guess that's what they call badluck -_- up to you guys to change it!
-----------------------------------
does some of the best cg'ing I've seen around here,folks. and yet he get's very little attention. it's unfair! He's able to paint some astonishing camera angles and views that make his artwork REALLY dynamic.
Also, the colors and lightsources he chose create an authentic atmosphere in his works. You can almost TASTE the atmosphere right there.
-----------------------------------
has..apparently left..but...anyways, his Gallery is truly worth a look. The way he cgs is very realistic - but in a soft,pleasant way.
Also...this is one of my fave deviations ever, called "the fallen"
I love everything about it, the design, the light, the colors..beautifully painted.
-----------------------------------
does some REALLY neat linearts. it's smooth and clean. It's SCREAMING TO BE COLORED. And she also does nice designs that pic sorta makes me giggle :giggle: dunno why. ^^
-----------------------------------
has some impressive pencil artwork in his Gallery :nod: Like this pic of Gin.. That expression deserves a prize. :B And though most of his artworks seem rather (sorry) incomplete and simple, they have something very charming/calming about them,maybe the composition of colors/lines.
-----------------------------------
's presence on my list pains me. it really does.His Paintings are beautifully inspired and designed, they've got all you can ask for: They are detailed and pleasant to the eye. And his Gallery is full of finished artwork. Most of the time with a detailed, epic background and multiple interacting characters.
If I had the money,I'd buy his prints. 5k views...that's mocking, MOCKING I SAY!
-----------------------------------
is a true multitalent hailing over from mexico! sculpturing realistic portraits and cartoonish stuff now, if he also did music and poetry, you could say he'd mastered the arts :D
-----------------------------------
is sadly not very active on dA, but nevertheless a great pencil artist.
His lineart concepts sorta remind me of whom I really miss around here. I mean art-wise. yum....ahem ^^;...yeah well his mechas and his skill at perspective is not to be underrestimated either!
-----------------------------------
I've been waiting for this...shame on the community. 3k pageviews :cries:
Her artwork manages to capture the beauty of mother nature's creations BETTER than a digital camera. Simply looking at her artwork isn't remotely enough to spot all the tiny little details that are ALL OVER the pics. it's like searching for easter eggs :nod:
be it a butterfly or a marvelous, peaceful forest scenery, OR a portrait, her artwork's in a word, breathtaking.
And on top of that, she's being completely modest and nice. What an artist.
-----------------------------------
here is able to draw awesome sceneries mostly of urban nature (I know that sounds kinda paradox) which are detailed and QUITE fun to look at if your stomach can handle it :D just kidding. als his lienarts are clean and nice and ASK to be colored. ( I'm prolly gonna give it a try there :3 ) also..this..is shiny..and..mezmerizing...
-----------------------------------
BWAHAHA...'s next :B t3h wayahs pretty underrated as well. As you can see, wayah's VERY creative :D ( the future of gaming? stay tuned! Who knows...after seeing the wee..uhm..wii's controler...:giggle: )
Her characters are sympathetic, even though radioactive or groggy sometimes :giggle: Wayah's a great person :nod: Check her out or I'll make you! :evillaugh:
-----------------------------------
last but not least on my list there's .
Even though he's got a daily deviation once... he's still fairly unknown. UN.FAIR. Because he's very talented. The environments he draws are mostly futuristic thingies, insanely detailed.
But that's not his only talent - his anime characters are also awesomely designed ( gee I'm running out of adjectives/adverbs to describe just how...you know,great things are x_X ) and colored in a unique way.
And I love his ink-linearts...remind me of 's...so clean and smoothly outlined.
I'd say ~zanazac is an underappreciated artist. He enspires me a lot. :3
Thanks again!
